Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I bet many of you are still recovering from a food coma and a ton of leftovers… Well, now it is Monday and it is time to get back on track. To survive feasts like the one on Thanksgiving, I like to start eating clean and remain active. I load up on fruits and veggies and stick to whole grain and lean proteins. My new favorite smoothie, Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie, helps me achieve this. It contains fruits, ground flaxseed meal AND kale. The following ingredients in my Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie have properties that not only make your body feel good and energized, but also promote healthy skin. I am sure ALL OF YOU would love to detox the body and have a healthy glow after Thanksgiving.

Here’s what you’ll need for my Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie:

- 1 cup Kale

- 1/2 cup Blueberries

- 1/2 Banana

- 2 tbsp Ground Flaxseed Meal

- 1 cup Water (Add more if you prefer a thinner drink)

Blend fruits, flaxseed meal, and water first to get the mixture going. Then add kale and blend for a few more seconds until smooth.

My Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie is filled with fiber to help keep you full. The carbohydrates from the banana and blueberries help give you a boost of energy and the fat from the flaxseed helps sustain that feeling. Blueberries, kale and flaxseed help promote healthy skin because the combination is packed with antioxidants, Vitamin A and Omega 3 fatty acids. They all work together perfectly to maintain a healthy glow to your skin. You really must try this drink! I love to have my Feel Good (Look Good) Smoothie in the morning with a scrambled egg and egg white for a complete breakfast!
